Today we went to Napa Valley!

This is not the most gorgeous picture,(taken from a moving car!), but it does have grapes in it, one of the major features of Napa Valley. We decided to head up there today and do a little exploring. Kind of a funny trip for a family of non-drinkers, but we figured there had to other things to do besides sample wine and we were right! First of all though, I think we went the wrong time of year. I imagined lots of green. Wrong! We are still at the end of the hot dry summer and the rains haven't come yet so it wasn't all that much greener than we have here.

We found a old firehouse museum in Napa that the kids really liked.

It also had this old Ford we had to take a picture of for Opa and Grandpa

We parked right in front of this colorful old Victorian and Brittany had to have her picture taken with it. We had a lot of fun in Napa, they were having a music and Cajun food festival we didn't know about and even had a little mini-Mardi Gra parade. This was lucky because the festival I had read about in my little book a town over had the wrong date and it isn't until tomorrow.

They were not having their festival but they did have some good ghosts out and about! See how scared Brittany and Matthew are?!

We ended up at a really fun park, Joshua thought he wanted on this swing until he actually was!

Have a great weekend!
