This is Miss Brittany last night after we found out that she will be an angel in this year's Nutcracker. Her school puts on an excellent production every year, fabulous costumes, live orchestra and beautiful dancers. The audition was this weekend and I don't even want to talk about the amount of nerves that you could have bottled in the crowd of parents waiting for our girls to come out with the verdict Saturday. It is hard to believe that when we moved back from California a year ago I wasn't sure what our future in ballet would be. Brittany was getting frustrated and it wasn't fun. But thanks to my friend Circe who is an amazing teacher, the spark has been rekindled. Brittany has worked really hard and having the privilege of getting to be in Nutcracker is a great reward. As Clytie put it last night for those of us who haven't participated in this Nutcracker before, it is going to be quit a ride. We are really excited. So if you find yourself wishing you could take you kids to a great, relatively inexpensive Nutcracker production this November I know where you can get tickets!
