We parked the car and there was a huge flock of Canadian geese having a little snack. They were much more dignified than the unruly herd of ducks and geese. They literally stampeded us. I had to swing at them with my sack of snacks. They were a little too tame!
This particular park is one of the few left with a merry-go-round as my kids call it. There was a sweet tween age boy who gave my kids some serious lessons.
And only Joshua ended up like a monkey in the zoo!
A good afternoon. Good to remember that having kids really is fun!

Yes, JOsh, run!
And, Matthew, be careful!
Aaron was doing the trick once on our "spinny thing"
(that's what we call it) and flew off and hit his head on a railroad tie. He had such a lump!
Way to go, Michelle! I have been thinking that we need to play in the leaves before they all blow away. It was so windy today. We have been running so much lately to appointments. I need to make time to take them to the park and the library. As soon as Byron is over the croup! He just started this morning! Nice pictures! :)
i think deep down we all have a bit of a phobia about ducks chicken or geese, i know i do. i used to hit the coop till al the chickens were out then i would bravely run in a collect the eggs. the problem was only one way in and one way out . so yes i was trapped each time. freaky
Yeah, the whole point to having kids is so you can hang out in parks and zoos and planetariums. Everything is more fun with little ones!
I can't believe they have one of those merry go rounds. I have such fond memories of those growing up and you can't find them anywhere!
What a wonderful time! So glad you was able to take some time and enjoy the kids! Have a great weekend. Blessings, Karen
When did Brittany get to be so big? I love going to the park! Good for you. I absolutely LOVE seeing everyone dressed up so nicely for the Nutcracker. How FUN!!!
