The Footiful Girl

I found this painting at a thrift store last week and have been wanting to work on her. When Josh saw me working on her he said, "Oh, a footiful girl!" We think that translates to Beautiful girl! So I thought I would show you before and after.

She was already pretty cute when I found her,
But I wanted her to look more like she had spent time in somebody's attic

I muted the colors, added crackle glaze and a shiny varnish.
I am quite happy with her!

I am stunned! I would have never given Miss Footiful a second look. You made her look just darling. I will have to be a little more perceptive when I am looking through art at the thrift stores.

Oh, she IS footiful! What a great idea! I never would have thought of doing that. I LOVE thrift stores. I'm famous for passing something up and then thinking about how dumb I was for the next week...my house will only hold so much stuff:)
Hope you are having a nice weekend! It was nice to hear I was missed:)
