2 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
4 1/2 c. flour
12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients. Roll into balls. Flatten on cookie sheet with a fork. Bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes. While warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar (optional). I skipped the powdered sugar and made a half a batch. I made them with chocolate and butterscotch chips. They were yummy, I usually like a chewy cookie and they are crisp but it was a nice change!

oh my....these look great! Fun to see you tonight!
Cookies definitely make everything better...at first, lol. I love shortbread so I'll have to try these.
Loved the back to school photos! My kids don't go back until Sept. 8th. UGH!
I'm jealous:)
This Chocolate Chip Shortbread really looks so yummy. Thank you for posting its ingredients and the procedure on how to make it. I will surely try to do this at home.
