The Great Fishing Adventure

Fishing was a major part of our little vacation adventure last week. William and I have a favorite fishing spot. We have been going to this particular little lake in the Uintahs since we were first married. It was the only cheap vacation we could afford. Even certain rocks seem familiar to me now. So it was really fun to take our kids. They have been before but it has been a couple of years since they have been since we were in California.

Man, they really got into the fishing!
Here are some of the fish Brittany caught. She would proudly tell you she caught five.
And Matthew also caught five. I should mention that the tiny fish in the lower left corner was caught by Dad not Matthew. His were much bigger.

Yep, I even caught one.
This is the reluctant fisherman. Josh did not love the experience as much as the rest of us. But hey, he is only three there is still time to convert him.
We told him if he caught one more fish we would go home but he had to hold it and let me take his picture. Can you see my hand holding it at the top?
All in all a sucessful trip, the kids even wanted to make sure we could do it again next year. You bet!

I am so impressed you are fishers. I have never done it and wouldn't know what to do with a freshly caught fish. Wow.

Very impressive! I didn't know you were a fisherwoman! I'm trying not to send a thank you note, so I have to say thanks so much for the yummy and timely dinner. You and
Tiff saved me today! Between Golda's migraine and Ptolemy's nursing, I was way behind by dinner time! You are great, and so is your cooking! Love ya!
